RAIPUR: Amidst decline in fresh Covid-19 cases, the state government has decided to reopen schools for class 10th and class 12th students from August 2.Regular classes of class 10th and 12th should be started from Monday, August 02 in all private and government schools under the school education department, said an order issued by the state government on Monday.Besides, it has been stated in the order that regular classes for class 1 to 5 and class 8th students in all private and government schools should be commenced as per recommendation obtained from the Gram Panchayat concerned and the parent committee of the school for rural areas and of the ward councilor concerned and parent committee of school in urban areas. On receipt of their recommendation, these classes should also be started from August 2.The order further stated that these classes should be started in those districts in which the positivity rate of corona has been less than 1 per cent for 7 days. Besides, it has been mentioned to keep the strength of class 50 per cent. “Students should be called to classes at an interval of 1 day i.e. everyday only half the number of students should be called”, the order said.Students having coronavirus related symptoms should not be allowed in the class. Online classes will continued to be conducted as before and it will not be mandatory for a student to attend classes offline, the order said. It has also been asked to follow Covid related precautions issued by state and central government.
